Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has deleted her Twitter account, saying that she has “enough social media” to deal with.

Mabuse’s decision comes after she was reportedly abused by trolls over the weekend.

“I’ve decided to leave Twitter!! It’s been fun but I truly think with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok... it’s enough social media,” she wrote.

“Please keep up my #strictlykindess hashtag!! You know where to find me.”

Mabuse appears to have deleted her entire account, rather than just removing the app from her phone or logging out.

Over the weekend, the Strictly stars took part in Musicals Week, along with the dance-off that saw one couple leave the competition.

In a new interview with The Guardian, Mabuse’s fellow judge Craig Revel Horwood revealed that comedian Bill Bailey – who is partnered with Mabuse’s sister Oti – was one of the celebrities who had most surprised him most.

“I think we’ve had a great mix of contestants this year, not to mention a very committed and flexible group given the limitations we’ve had to place on filming,” he said.

“Bill Bailey has really surprised me though. He has a great musicality that I didn’t quite expect.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.
