On the Voices desk we were always prepared for a deluge of letters and comments in the wake of the UK officially leaving the EU.

Given it is one of the most divisive topics for decades, our desk has received plenty of correspondence from both sides of the debate. For example, Tom Peck has seen plenty of praise for his view of the celebrations in Parliament Square, but he has also been the subject of plenty of ire from other readers too.

Iain Duncan Smith, the MP and well-known Brexiteer, is another to have split opinion. Some – as evidenced in our letters section today – have applauded us for hosting a plethora of views, while still disagreeing with the content of his piece. Others have just expressed their displeasure at someone like Duncan Smith being given a platform.
