My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding twin brothers found dead in suspected joint suicide

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty has paid tribute to two brothers, Billy and Joe Smith, who were found dead in a suspected double suicide on Saturday (28 December).

The twins, aged 32, were discovered together in woodland in Sevenoaks, Kent. Police were called to the scene in Dibden Lane but the deaths are not being treated as suspicious.

Doherty described the brothers as “angels” and urged viewers to pray for them.

He added that their death was a “terrible tragedy” in a video shared on his Facebook page, saying: “‘Two good looking boys, God bless their souls. That’s a terrible, terrible tragedy.

“There’s always worse than yourself. Pray for the boys’ family, the boys’ mother and father, help them be strong and get through this."

Doherty continued: “I’m very, very sorry for your troubles. Anyone watching this, please say a prayer for those left behind.

“May God look after them. They are two angels. They’re in the kingdom of heaven walking on gold.”

The Smiths took part in a 2014 episode of the reality series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

Kent Police said the twins' deaths were not being treated as suspicious and officers are preparing a file for the coroner.
